Kickboxing, fun acivity for cardiovascular endurance
Making excuses to stop working out is pretty damn dumb especially if you are hypertensive or have a heart problem. It is time to stop this nonsense, get up and get cracking!
Diet and Exercise Play a Key Role
Getting healthy is not only about dieting. It also requires a positive attitude and exercise. For overall physical fitness, it is imperative to get the heart pumping so that oxygen gets delivered to all the muscles. When you talk about cardiovascular endurance, the heart and the lungs ensure that energy is pumped throughout the body that is working out. This usually takes place after about a minute or two of heavy exercise. It is after this time when the body energizes other parts of the anatomy through the bloodstream. We have heard about the importance given to protein and because of this, one can get fit by fueling ones energy. The most common exercises that gives rise to this form of endurance is heavy duty workouts like aerobics, jogging, kickboxing, long distance running, swimming, mountain climbing, cycling, etc.
Watch What You Eat
To keep the heart in order it is extremely important to follow a proper schedule. A normal diet that consists of the following must be followed.
- Proteins (pork loin, turkey, chicken, fish, lean beef or veal, soybeans, tofu, egg whites, seeds and nuts (flaxseeds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, almonds)
- Carbohydrates (oatmeal, brown rice, legumes, peas, green leafy vegetables, cruciferous vegetables, etc)
- Mineral nutrients (calcium, potassium, iron, iodine, etc)
- Dairy (milk, soy milk, lean cheese, buttermilk, etc)
You are What you Want Yourself to Be
Along with this, one must never neglect exercise. The strength of the heart is considered to be in good shape when the person is in good shape physically and mentally. As we age problems manifest like stress, a sedentary lifestyle, lack of exercise, etc which invariably causes a problem to the arteries pumping blood to the heart. To reap the rewards of good cardiovascular health one need not run for miles or participate in large marathons, all it requires is about thirty minutes of a good workout every day. For a person who leads a relatively sedentary lifestyle it may take a while to get in shape but all it takes is getting up and walking.
Here are some tips that are worth considering.
- Walk up the stairs and avoid the elevator
- Use a cycle and get to work instead of the car
- Remove the weeds from the garden and potter around there
- Walk to and fro to the departmental store instead of ordering in
Do Something, Anything
There are many things that one can do to improve the quality of her/his heart. All it takes is a change in schedule to incorporate a new and improved lifestyle. Walking is considered the best choice. If you feel shy going out and walking because of obesity, opt for a treadmill. Many programs work the heart really well. However, before starting out on a new regime it is important to check out what works best with the physician. Alternatively, qualified fitness trainers can come over home to help you improve your body as well as keep the heart pumping healthily. Many people make excuses and trick themselves into believing that they have actually sweated it out with a few idle jobs here and there. Invariably this catches up on them and they have to deal with the consequences.
